미스카 / MISKA
Dominika Sobolewska, Jakub Jernajczyk (PL), 2011
The bowl is a significant dish in all cultures: it is a symbol of a common meal and it performs other functions too. In this installation the bowl defines a meeting place for people from different nations. The recipient can decide who is going to meet whom.

The title of the installation written in Korean doesn’t meet anything. However reading it in Korean we can hear polish word ‘Miska’ which means bowl. The main idea of the installation is to mix all the people together –including the authors by means of that simple dish.
We can observe they natural reactions and gestures. They all seem the same, they are human being regardless of nationality and culture.

Project was realised during the AIAS in Between workshop organized in Soeul in 2011
